Robert E. Wennergren, 60, died Friday August 10, 2012 in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Born June 20, 1952 in Denver, Colorado he was a son of Earl Wennergren and Andrene Pederson Wennergren. Having grown up in Colorado Bob loved the outdoors. He was an avid skier and enjoyed backpacking especially as a hikemaster for the YMCA of the Rockies. Other interests included karate, oil painting, and tennis. Bob is survived by his wife, Paula; brother Kevin (Mercedes) Wennergren of Santa Cruz, California.; sister Nancy (Andy) Heinly and three children of Bend, Oregon; his uncle Ozzie Pederson and family of Kansas City, Missouri; and aunt Ellen Shiver and family of Santa Rosa, California. Bob will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Bob was employed by the VA Hospital System for 22 years in Portland Oregon, Syracuse New York, Atlanta Georgia, and most recently White River Junction Vermont as The Assistant to the Chief of Staff. He received his undergraduate degree and Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Colorado and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday August 28, 2012 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction, Vermont in Building 44 Room 103. The general public is welcome.
