Robert Merrill Clark

U.S. Veteran

Robert Merrill Clark, 63, died on August 11th after a brief battle with cancer. His passing was peaceful, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He left this world on his 39th wedding anniversary, holding the hand of his wife, companion and best friend, Jo Ann Clark. He was surrounded by his loving daughters, Heather and Alison and his son-in-law Jonathan Hislop. Bob is survived by another son-in-law Kevin Rogers and granddaughters Marisa and Alexa Rogers. He also leaves behind his father Fred Clark, his sister Nancy Cassell and his brother David Clark.

Bob was born September 28, 1948 in Newark, NJ. He was raised in New Jersey and spent summers on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, NH with his parents and siblings. Bob attended the University of Denver. He spent 4 years in the US Air Force after which he moved to NH. He loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing, photography, motorcycles and playing sports with his daughters. Bob worked at Hypertherm for 18 years where he made many friends who were a tremendous source of support for Bob and his family during his illness. In addition to being a wonderful father, brother, son and husband, Bob was an avid angler and spent many early morning hours out on Lake Winnipesaukee trolling for that big one. He also loved gadgets – anything electronic, adored doing puzzles with his granddaughter and had a surprising talent for making delicious carrot cake. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
