Canaan, NH-Dorothy Mae Chase, 92, died in the comfort of her home on Monday, July 30, 2012. She was born in Bath, NH on October 9, 1919, the daughter of the late Charles William & Lillie Mae (Tucker) Moses. She was one of twelve children. She was predeceased by three brothers, Lee Moses, Charles Moses Jr., and Fred Moses, four sisters, Lillian (Moses) Hart, Dollie (Moses) Scheppard, Jenny (Moses) Smith and Madeline (Moses) Darling. She is survived by four daughters, Dorothy Pringle of Fort Mill, SC, Dorothea Heath and husband Arthur of Lebanon, NH, Eugenia Hamm of Berwick, ME and Mary Bailey and husband Guy of Enfield, NH, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, four brothers, Wesley Moses of Brattleboro, VT, Sylvanus Moses of York, PA, Harvey Moses of Bradford, VT, Henry Moses of Lyndonville, VT and two sisters Esther (Moses) Reynolds of South Kendiskie, ME and Rose (Moses) Houle of Portsmouth, NH, many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy attended Bradford Academy in Vermont. She was married in Canaan to Eugene Frank Chase, her husband of sixty seven years. Who predeceased her in 2006. She was a homemaker all of her life.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral on Friday, August 3rd 2012 at 2 pm at the Canaan Assembly of God Church. There will be a calling hour starting at 1 pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at the Canaan Street Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin McCullough will officiate.
